I am a Samsung Fan, I have 2 LCD Samsung TVs, one LED Samsung TV and all my PC monitors are Samsung.
I decided to replace 2 of my Samsung 910V which has worked for more than 6 years without a problem.
I picked the SyncMaster 2494HM and bought 2 of them.
I installed the first one and loved the quality and how easy it was to set it up. When I installed the second one, it didn't turn on. After a research I found many people having problems with its touch buttons, and then, I decided to RUB the POWER area more hardly... BINGO... it worked... then I noticed the other buttons don't work well either. After more researches I found people who didn't have the problem before but it showed up after a couple months.
So if you recently bought your monitor and is happy with it, be aware, you may have problems on the future with these buttons.
I decided to return BOTH monitors. I will try to find one with REAL buttons instead of FANCY sensitive ones. I really don't know why they keep trying to replace flawless technologies with crapy new ones just because they are fancier.
Samsung this time dropped the ball.
