Yes this mount seems constructed of heavy gage materials
Yes you will probably have to purchase some additional hardware at Lowes etc.. to make it work
like longer lag bolts, spacers for the bracket to mount on back of your TV
But a much bigger problem as some have mentioned is the fact that on heavier TV the tilt locking mechanism will not work !
Your TV will simply tilt under it's own weight and face downward. My 60" plasma weighs 120lbs and the tilt will not hold no matter how tight you try to make it.
Tried to email the manufacturer and got no response.
Buyer beware!
I will try to wedge some cotter pins or small diam bolts into the tilt adjustement slot as othes have suggested.
Amazon should not advertise this unit as capable of handling units over 100 lbs
Update
After mounting TV and getting help to hold it at the correct tilt, we reached behind tv and drilled several holes thru the tilt arms and inserted nuts and bolts to lock it into position. This works well and eliminates the tilt. Other wise the mount seems very heavy and a good value if you don't mind making the mods your self.

I got this wall mount 4 days after i ordered it with standard shipping. The CHEETAH MOUNTS PLASMA LCD TV ARTICULATING DUAL ARM WALL MOUNT FOR 32-63" is very sturdy and holds my 50" Plasma Samsung easily. The articulating arms turn easily. I purchased better lag screws as a precaution from reading another review (5/16 X 3 1/2"). The arm extends from the wall very smoothly as well. I didn't have a problem with the TV tilting down like I have read on other comments. There is a little bit of sag where the articulating arms are, so you can't push the wall mount flush with the wall, but this doesn't bother me as much since I have the arm extended out from the wall about 1 1/2 feet. I am going to purchase this same wall mount for my other TV's.

I ordered this mount for a summer home we are remodeling. When it arrived I noticed right away that the TV mounting bracket was not square with the wall bracket. Since I had read that other purchasers had this same problem I called Cheetah to discuss the issue and to make certain they would refund my money if the mount did not perform properly once it was installed to compensate for the out-of-level condition. I also wanted assurances that they would extend their warranty since my contractor was 4 weeks behind and we would not be installing the TV right away.
I was dealing with Adam in their customer service department. Adam could tell that I was apprehensive about the manufacturing flaw in the mount. He quickly informed me that they had a newer generation of the mount that allowed for rotational adjustment of the TV mounting plate and strongly suggested that I exchange the mount for the newer version. I agreed, he sent me a return label and in two days I had the new mount.
The new mount is very similar to the first one - a little lighter, has a built in level plus a separate level and includes every possible piece of hardware for attaching the mount to a wall with 16" studs. I believe the quality to be first rate.
Last week I installed the mount and hung my 42" Vizio LCD TV. It worked perfectly. When I first looked at the mount I thought it might be overkill for my 37 lb. TV, but when you get the TV 20 inches or more from the wall you really need the strength to keep everything steady and sturdy. I would not recommend skimping on size.
Cheetah has surpassed my expectations - especially when you consider the mount was $200 less than Sanus and Omni. I highly recommend this company and in particular their Customer Service person Adam.

This is the fifth mount of this type I have purchased and installed. Some cost 3-4 times what this one did. This is at least as sturdy as all the others. Based on it's double arm construction, I'd say it probably exceeds all the others in weight capacity. The mount included all the hardware I required. The instructions were adequate, but come on, this is not rocket science. I will definitely consider this brand for future purchases.

I didn't have the leveling problem other people had. Works great except that the tilting is not really something that can be done with the tv on the rack. Installation is about a thousand time easier if you have a sockets that can go on a drill.
